UK National collection scheme
APE UK is a not for profit company that aims to provide farmers and growers with a sustainable solution to the enviromentally responsible managment of used agricultural plastics.
It is currently estimated that only 30% of used non-packaging agricultural plastics are being collected for recycling in the UK. This is why XL Horticulture is committed to backing APE UK which aims to increase that number to 70% within 5 years.

All the producers of the scheme have signed the European Commission's Circular Plastics Alliance commitment to incorporate 10 million tonnes of used plastics into new plastic products by 2025.
The expected recycling rate by 2022 is as high as 90%. |
