Truss Support Tape
Truss support tape helps to support the trusses which hang down alongside the table top growing bag systems.
We have been involved in truss support tape for many years, when you could still get reasonable quality edge strips from the tarpaulin industry. However as prices rose the quality of of cuts became worse so that we were forced to look at new alternatives.
So we still sell the 610 gsm coated woven fabric , but it's brand new premium product, 45mm wide X50m long. Its the more expensive of the 2 tapes, but it should last for 10 plus years and has no stretch.
Our second Truss Support Tape is again a coated tape, but lighter in weight, and therefore much more economical. It took us a long time to find the correct lightweight tape because most of them are very stretchy or a "scrim" type of material that harbors wet, pests and diseases. Our economy tape is again an LDPE coated woven fabric, but of a much lighter weight. It has minimal stretch of ~1% and should last at least 4 years, so roughly the life of the crop. Our value tape is still 45mm wide but comes in rolls of 200m long.
